Carolyn Chin
Advisory Council Member
Carolyn Chin is CEO of Cebiz, a consulting and investment firm. She is also Chairman of the Board and new CEO of Larasan Pharmaceuticals, a developer of new painkillers. Also, she is co-founder/faculty member for "On Board Bootcamps", designed to assist primarily women/minorities join corporate boards (featured in Business Week). Carolyn has served on over 30 boards, advisory boards and commissions.
She was US CEO/Board Member for Singlepoint, a digital security firm ('07-'08). She also served as Chairman of the Board of Commtouch (NASDAQ) (anti-SPAM technology) from '01-'04. From '01-'02, she served as Chairman and interim CEO for KindMark (e-philanthropy and automated giving technology). From '03 to '09, she served on the Board of Directors of CH2M Hill, a $6B+ environment and infrastructure services firm. Carolyn also served on the Holcim US (cement/building materials) Board from '04-'08. In 2004, she was elected to the board of State Farm Bank (IL) where she Chairs the ALCO (Asset Management Liability Committee).
Her prior work experience senior positions at MarketXT, an e-commerce trading firm, Reuters America, IBM, Citibank, Macy's, AT&T and the US Departments of HUD and HEW.
Carolyn has also served on a number of corporate advisory and non-profit boards (including Independent Sector, Committee 100, White House Fellows Foundation, CED, NYC Outward Bound, Redford Institute).
She received an MBA from the Harvard Business School and a BS in Management Engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute and was selected as a White House Fellow (America's most prestigious leadership development program).
